Spring Fling Adds a Show

There is yet another show in our London Spring Fling itinerary. Saturday April 25th will be all theatre. We’ve got the one show at 1:30 and the next show at 7:30 with the prospect of grabbing a bite on the way. Naturally I love this sort of thing.

The two theatres are not that far from each other, even though, they are on opposite sides of the Thames. In the past, we would simply walk it. You get all of the view when you walk. I could walk London for days.

My partner, however is not as sprightly as he once was and we factor that into the travel time between shows. The 1.5 miles between the National Theatre and the Charing Cross Theatre can also be done in a cab or on the Tube.

My preference going anywhere of some distance in London is the Underground (Tube). As someone who grew up counting on the trains in NYC, the London system is a no brainer. The cab is a last resort and one that requires some extra time (traffic). Above ground busses are a possibility.

The new show we added is Mirrored Monet, a musical. We’re very curious about this show. It has a subject matter we both have interest it. Additionally this little theatre has put on some very good shows. It was announced after we had our week of tickets set for the trip. I got my shoehorn out and said, let’s make it fit.
